Narcissistic traits in the workplace are on the increase, but this isn't straightforward

We’ve taken quite the battering in the UK economy. As with everything else, certain elements of behaviour become more pronounced when we are stretched, tired, and under strain.
If you are witnessing more difficult behaviour from those around you, you may find some explanations in this presentation. However, it is rarely helpful to apply heavy labels too quickly. It is often more useful to understand how behaviours shift under sustained pressure - particularly in those who would otherwise be described as “charismatic”.
This presentation sets out a structured way of understanding those shifts, how they show up in the workplace, and what you can do in response.
It also serves as an example of how I structure complex material so that it is clear, practical, and usable in real situations.
