Heather spends a lot of time playing her violin, and she can see strong parallels between SMEs and orchestras that are at peak performance. True team diversity is obvious. Trombonists look and think entirely differently to the oboes; bassoonists inhabit a completely different world to the harps. Even in the string section, a double-bass player is easily spotted against a first violinist, even without their instruments!
